I’ve seen my share new years,
And I hope I have a few more
As a new year appears
Just like the ones before.

There have been years of happiness,
Filled with joy and growth
And some filled with sadness.
Hopefully I’ve learned from both.

What the new year holds in store,
For good times or not
No one knows what lies before
But I'll give it all I've got.

The years unfold day by day,
Each with a new beginning
In which to walk in the way
Doing a little better and growing.

When my days and years are fulfilled
Hopefully I will have something to show
For all of the years of my life lived
That I let my light within glow.

Hopefully the world will be a little better,
Someones life was touched for good
Because something I said did matter,
Because for truth and right I stood.

As the years came and went
So did my life, like the dew.
When my time here is spent
All I will have are the things I knew.

The years here are not all that are in store
For my life will continue forever
Where years matters no more
In the presence of my Heavenly Father.
