On the alter before us
Covered with a linen white and fresh
Lie the emblems of His torn flesh
And blood split for all mankind.
Mocked, beaten, and crucified,
Laid in a cold dark tomb
Covered with a linen white and fresh
To rise again on the third day.
Bread broken and torn in pieces
Like his flesh scourged and flayed.
He is the Bread of Life from above
Filled with compassion and love.
Blessed and sanctified to our souls
In remembrance of His body,
We willingly take His name
And keep His commandments.
Lying on the alter the water pure
For His blood shed from every pour.
He is the Living Water freely given
That we who drink thirst nevermore.

Blessed and sanctified to our souls
In remembrance of His blood shed for us.
We promise to always remember Him
To have His Spirit to be with us.
This we humbly do each week
To renew the covenant we made
Emerging from the watery grave,
Born again taking His name upon us.
Administered to us one by one
By those ordained and authorized
By the Father’s Only Begotten Son
Just as He did in the upper room.
With our heads bowed in reverence
We contemplate his matchless grace
For the price He paid to ransom us
From sin and death, sorrow and pain.
Striving each day to live by faith,
Repenting and holding to the iron rod,
Enduring to the end anxiously engaged,
Through Him we can return to be with God.
