I Am Grateful By Gordon Buttars (November 23, 2025) |

I may not have a lot, But I am grateful for so much, For all the blessing I have got, And not just things I can touch. I have a roof over my head That keeps me save and warm. In my comfortable bed I’m safe from the storm. I may not have worldly wealth And at my age I’m somewhat feeble But I’m in good health; Better than a lot of people. Our needs have been provided for As we have been carried in His hand. When our way was hedged He opened a door. It’s His footsteps in the sand. I live in a place of beauty With good people all around. It’s a place of security Where love and harmony abound. I have a loving wife And children who I love. It’s not been an easy life But I have been blessed from above. I live in a free land And a great nation With opportunity on every hand; The best in all creation. I am free to worship my Savior Who gave his life for me Despite my behavior And set me free From sin and death. I will approach Him on bended knee Grateful for all until my final breath. |
