It’s finally the magical month of June!
Why does it have to go so fast?
Blink, and it will be over all too soon,
Oh, how I wish it would last.
The sky above is a bright azure blue,
Everywhere are dazzling shades of green.
The earth has come alive, fresh and new,
And the air is so fresh and clean!
The sun warms the days—not too hot,
The morning air is fresh, crisp and cool,
Days like this can’t be bought;
Golden sunsets are the rule.
It makes it hard to want to work
When I want to just soak it all in.
Other duties I want to shirk
And enjoy my lovely garden.
There are flower beds that need care,
Their colors are so vibrant and bright,
Their sweet fragrance waft through the air,
They are such a beautiful sight.
So each year I enjoy it while it lasts
For the magic of June is fleeting.
Summer is hot, fall colors fade fast,
Winter is cold and spring is refreshing.
June is like a dream
To remember all year long:
Flowing like a babbling stream,
Melodious as a bird’s song.
The magic of June is the best!
A memory I hold so dear
That gets me through the rest,
Knowing that June will reappear!
