As a fan of both alternative naval history and US carrier operations in the Atlantic, this book is an absolute gem. The detail on the carrier is superb and the writing is far and above every alt history novel I have read, certainly tops in the naval beach of that genre.

It reads like a fine action report with all the specifics of a carrier at war. As well, from the first person narrative, it also read like a diary. Both angles worked very well. It is on my keep forever and read again shelf.
