The Man in the Mirror (February 5, 2025) |

“What are you smiling about?” I asked the man in the mirror. “It’s been a long hard day! Nothing went right." The man on the other side of the glass wasn’t fazed. His smile only broadened. “Come on. What has you so positive? I mean I was drug through the knothole backwards. Right off the bat I found out that they increased the scope of the project and moved up the deadline. On top of that they took one of my key people to lead another project.” The man in the mirror didn’t say anything, but the voice in my head did. “Don’t worry. It will all work out; it always does. Just remember what you do it for. You can only do what you do and if they don’t appreciate your hard work and effort, there are a lot of other places that will. You have everything a man could ask for right here. You have gorgeous wife who adores you, a family who loves you, and a roof over your head. That’s a lot more than so many others have.” “You're right.” I smiled. “That’s why I do what do. Everything will work out. Tomorrow is another day.” |
