Again, as in the first book I enjoyed the depth of character development and the use of war and preparation for war to present real life challenges. The author takes a hard look through his characters at pain, suffering, death, loss of a loved one and how to actually visualize picking up the pieces. Tragedy is a part of life that affects everyone but few authors do it the justice Gordon did. It is a hard thinking book and makes the reader examine their own beliefs and how we have dealt with painful experiences. I highly recommend it. Well done Gordon.

I love a good story, but this one caught me off guard. Life does that and this book did it. It pulls at the heart strings and makes you look around and make sure you are thankful for what you have.

I am really enjoying your Flyboy Series! I'm just starting Neptune's Realm after crying my way through Clouds of War. I have been wrapped up in the story and enjoying it very much. I'm one of those that can read a story and the next day it seems that I watched the movie. Your books are like that to me. I really enjoy your style of writing. Very well written, Thanks for sharing your talent!
